Troops rescue 10-month-old baby and others after engaging bandits along the Zaria-Kano road

Three people who were abducted by bandits along the Zaria-Kano road have been freed by security personnel.

Migrating bandits were forced to surrender the three captives after being confronted by forces, according to Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs for Kaduna.

The names of the people that were saved were Abdullahi Lawal, Sadiya Salimanu, and her infant Fatima Salimanu, who was 10 months old.

Aruwan added that nine rustled animals, including one cow and eight sheep, were retrieved by the military from the robbers.

The people who were saved have been reunited with their families, and the animals that were found have been given to the appropriate local authorities for identification and retrieval.
