A Nigerian woman identified as Chiamaka Godswill has shared a disturbing experience after allegedly being followed and ha√assed by a strange man during her morning exercise routine in Enugu.

According to her account, the incident occurred on Sunday morning, May 24, 2026. She alleged that the man followed her during her run, made crude comments, and threatened $3xual v!0lence against her.

Chiamaka further claimed that the suspect trailed her to a walking path in a secluded area around Okpara Square in Independence Layout, where he allegedly began behaving in a sexually explicit manner.

The incident has sparked outrage online, with many social media users calling for improved security and protection for women exercising in public spaces.

“Went for a run this morning and this man followed me. He started saying all manner of things to me. What was my offense? I was just walking on the sidewalk, listening to music and being on my own,” she wrote.”

“At a point he started threatening to r@pe me and all the things he’d do to me. He followed me until I walked to Ọkpara Square side, the place can be quiet lonely if you know that area. That was when he brought out his p r ! c k. This is so traumatizing. 

“To see a stranger’s p r I c k unprovoked this morning. To think I came out here to clear my head. Women are not safe out here. This is sad honestly. I feel so disgusted.”
