“There was no legally recognised marriage, just introduction” – Olakunle Churchill speaks on end of his marriage to Rosy Muerer

Businessman has reacted to the divorce filing reportedly initiated by his estranged wife, , arguing that there was no legally recognised marriage between them.

Churchill stated that the pair only carried out a traditional introduction ceremony and never had either a court wedding or church wedding, insisting that there is therefore no legal basis for divorce proceedings.

His response comes days after reports emerged that Rosy had filed for the dissolution of their relationship after five years together and two children, allegedly following Churchill’s public reconciliation with his former wife, .

In a statement shared on social media, Churchill also claimed he was never officially served any legal documents regarding the alleged court process. He added that some people were allegedly misleading Rosy due to a lack of proper understanding of the law and media matters.

The businessman further dismissed claims that Rosy stood firmly by him during his highly publicised conflict with Tonto Dikeh over custody issues involving their son, King Andre. According to him, anyone else could have offered similar support if Rosy had not been in his life at the time.

Churchill added that both he and Tonto had hurt each other in the past but have since chosen to forgive one another and move forward.
