Pastor Foluke Adeboye, wife of renowned Nigerian cleric Enoch A. Adeboye, has revealed her sacrifice after being born again.

She claimed to have made significant investments in high-end gold jewelry. However, she went on to say that when her family became born again and joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God, gold jewelry was considered taboo.

At the time, she claimed she had purchased expensive jewelry for her daughter, who was less than two years old.

She discloses that she took all the expensive jewelry and “dumped them in the Lagoon.” 

“Every woman loves fashion,’ she said. “By the time we became born again, it was a taboo for you to have them.” 

She revealed that a family friend questioned why she didn’t just hand the valuables to her mother to sell. But she refused. 

“Whatever is not good for me is not good for my mother,” she stated. 

Pastor Foluke recalled briefly switching to “copper” accessories as an alternative, admitting she spent heavily on them at the time. 

Despite the extreme sacrifice, she insisted she has no regrets. 

“What would I say I miss? Not much, I have already sold myself,” she said.
