American singer and rapper T-Pain has sued Akon’s Konvict Entertainment for the second time, alleging that the label owes him $489,047.76 in unpaid royalties.
T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Rashad Najm, filed the lawsuit at Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia on September 4, accusing the label of breaching his 2005 recording agreement and a 2025 settlement.
The dispute involves more than $1.3 million in royalties Konvict allegedly received from a distributor in March 2026 for T-Pain’s music sales during the second half of 2025. Under his contract, the artiste claims he is entitled to 75 per cent of net royalties.
T-Pain said Konvict paid him $489,047 in June but allegedly withheld an equal amount. He is seeking the outstanding sum, interest and legal fees.
The dispute follows a 2018 lawsuit over unpaid royalties, which was settled in 2025. Konvict Entertainment remains the sole defendant.
The latest lawsuit is the second time T-Pain has taken Konvict Entertainment to court over alleged unpaid royalties under their long standing recording agreement.
