“Stop complaining from AC rooms, come out” – APC chieftain tells youths amid insecurity in Edo

Blessing Agbomhere, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has pushed Edo State youths to combat kidnappers and criminals after a video showed him wandering into a bush with a rifle.

In the viral video spreading on social media, Agbomhere looked to be walking through dense bush, which he claimed was one of the areas criminals typically hide.

While speaking in the video, he asked young people to come out and protect their towns rather than moaning about insecurity from the comfort of their own homes.

“Instead of entering inside the bush to chase all the kidnappers out, many of them are sitting inside AC and complaining about insecurity.”

Holding what looked to be a firearm and accompanied by security people, the APC chairman stated that he had decided to enter the woods himself to demonstrate that citizens must also participate in combating criminals.

He stressed that insecurity cannot be handled if people continue to rely entirely on security authorities without contributing their own efforts.

“I am here inside the bush. If you say kidnappers are here, we should come out and face them. We cannot just sit down and be complaining.”

He continued by stating that the government cannot address insecurity alone, and that citizens must also take responsibilities.
