Afrobeats superstar Davido has opened up about the challenges of living in the spotlight, admitting that there are times he wishes he could enjoy life like an ordinary person without the constant attention that comes with fame.
Speaking in a recent interview, the award-winning singer addressed the common perception that he is “too free” and does not behave like a typical celebrity or global superstar.
According to Davido, while many people expect him to carry himself differently because of his status, he simply enjoys being himself and interacting freely with people.
He explained that despite his success, there are moments when he longs for the freedom to experience everyday life without being constantly recognised or scrutinised.
He said in part:
“There’s this misconception that I am too free, that I do not act like a celebrity or superstar. Sometimes I just want to live like a regular person.”
