For allegedly gang-raping a first-year female student, six Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) students have been detained.

It was learned that the crime was planned by Patrick Ofosu, a 19-year-old business administration student who is purported to be the victim’s (name withheld) lover.

According to police investigations, the boyfriend texted the girlfriend and asked her to have sex with him and his male pals. He persuaded her that he had canceled the sex party and simply wanted to have sex with her as a couple when she declined, and then he asked her to his hostel.

After he managed to convince the victim to come to his hostel so the two of them can have sex alone as lovers, she reportedly walked into a trap. 

While getting intimate, the five other suspects who had laid in ambush budged into the room and took turns to sexually assault the female student.
