Singer Davido has reacted to reports of the sh@@ting of the Accord Party chairman in Osogbo Local Government Area, Asimiyu Ajibola.

Ajibola was shot by suspected gunmen on Wednesday night, June 3, in the MDS area of Osogbo and is currently receiving treatment at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.

According to the Osun state police command’s spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, the attack occurred at about 9:50 pm when two armed men riding on a motorcycle allegedly opened fire on the victim in what can be described as an attempted m#rder.

Ojelabi said police operatives responded to a distress call, evacuated the victim to a medical facility and launched a manhunt for the attackers.

Reacting to the news via his X handle, Davido, whose Uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is the governorship candidate of Accord party, said everyone irrespective of their political differences should not contribute to insecurity. He averred that the m$rder attempt should be condemned by all. He went further to say that if the APC party is sure they are popular. they should prove it through votes during the election and not via guns or weapons
