A friend said that a woman’s husband issued her a one-week ultimatum to either reclaim ₦640,000 that she had paid to her church as a seed giving or leave their home, which sparked a lot of responses online.
The viral tale claimed that after the woman had been unemployed for a number of years, her husband had gone above and above to help her find work.
Despite working in different branches, the pair is employed by the same ministry.Video Sharing Employees just received three months’ worth of salary arrears in a single payment, and the woman reportedly returned to work four months ago. Her portion came to roughly ₦640,000.

“My friend’s husband helped her secure a job after years of being unemployed. He put in a lot of effort to make sure she got the slot. She resumed 4 months ago, and recently they paid them 3 months salary at once. Hers was about ₦640k. Her husband already knew they had been paid since he works in the same ministry, though in another branch. After a week, he noticed she didn’t mention the money, so he asked her about it. She told him she sowed the entire ₦640k as seed in church. Now he has given her one week to get the money back from her church or leave the house.”
The church in question was not named in the post, and the assertions have not been independently confirmed.
The account has sparked a heated discussion on social media, with many people contending that important financial choices in a marriage should be discussed together.
While some questioned the appropriateness of giving away her whole pay cheque, others supported the woman’s freedom to make private religious donations.
The report is based only on the poster’s testimony because neither the woman nor her husband have officially addressed the widely circulated allegations as the online debate rages on.
