Following the death of her colleague Bunmi Akinnaanu, also known as Omije Ojumi, an old video of gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori reappeared online.
Fans have had diverse reactions to the video, with many expressing their strong sentiments over the late singer’s impact and legacy.
The video went viral just a few days after Omije Ojumi died, with tributes and reactions flooding social media.
In the video, Yinka Alaseyori is shown speaking during a live stage performance, reflecting on how the late singer helped her early ministry journey.
While speaking to the crowd, Yinka Alaseyori said that Omije Ojumi was the person who gave her her first car when she was just beginning out in ministry.
She explained that the late artist did not ask for payment for the automobile, calling her as a “Good Woman” whose kindness had a lasting impact on her life.

“…Mummy Bunmi Akinnanu, Omije Ojumi. Peradventure you did not know, she is the person who gave me my first car ever in ministry. She gave it to me without collecting a dime from me. I mean, she dashed me a car just like that…”
The resurrected video sparked heated emotions from fans. Many people became upset, thanking Omije Ojumi’s charity and praying for her family. Others condemned Alaseyori, claiming that praise should have been offered while the singer was still alive.
Some social media users also stated that Alaseyori placed the video on her profile and then erased it, implying a lack of real concern, despite the late singer’s influence to her career.
Meanwhile, broadcaster Afolabi Peter Murphy had already provoked outrage by attributing Omije Ojumi’s death to unfulfilled predictions.
He argued that if certain cautions had been taken carefully, the singer could still be alive. He also mentioned other gospel artists who reportedly denied predictions and eventually died.
