“One day, I will be Nigeria’s president” – Natasha, wife of music icon 2Baba, declares

Natasha Osawaru, wife of Nigerian singer 2Baba and a lawmaker from Edo State, has openly declared her aspiration to become Nigeria’s president.

She made this heartfelt revelation during the 92nd birthday celebration of her grandfather, Gabriel Igbinedion, in Benin City a moment captured in a video that has since gone viral.

During her speech, Natasha showered her grandfather with affection, calling him her “baby” and expressing how much she cherishes his presence.

You are amazing; you are like my baby right now. I love you so much. As you age, you become sweeter and better; it is so amazing to be around you, grandpa.

I promise you that I will be the president of this country before you go,” she vowed, promising to pursue the nation’s highest office while he is still alive.

Recently appointed as the minority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, Natasha emphasized that her new position is not merely a title but a trust.

Natasha married 2Baba in July 2025, following the singer’s separation from Annie Macaulay Idibia. The couple welcomed their first child together earlier this year and held a dedication ceremony in February. Throughout ongoing public attention, 2Baba has maintained that Natasha was not the cause of his breakup with Annie.
