An old Instagram post by late Afrofuji artist Destiny Boy has resurfaced online, prompting new debate amid rumours linking his death to money practices.
The musician, whose true name was Afeez Adeshina, reportedly posted on his Instagram profile @iam_destinyboy, pledging to either make money or die young.
He wrote: “Either I make this money or I die young.
“MONEY MUST BE MADE.”
The post has gathered traction in the wake of his death and suspicions that a Babalawo was involved in the young singer’s funeral ceremonies.
A man who claimed to have known Destiny Boy since infancy stated that the singer practiced money rituals, which may have contributed to his untimely demise.
Shortly after, another Nigerian man went public, accusing the babalawo, named as Ifayemi, of administering Destiny Boy juju that was “too much” for his age.
The remark has been widely shared on social media, sparking arguments and conflicting emotions among fans and the general public.
The reappearance of Destiny Boy’s old Instagram post, combined with these allegations, has fueled internet debate, with fans expressing shock, scepticism, and concern about the circumstances surrounding the singer’s untimely demise.
