Former Minister of State for Health, Fidelix Nwankwo, has declared that the Presidential Candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, would emerge victorious in the 2027 general election.
Nwankwo stated on Friday in Abakaliki Ebonyi state capital that Obi’s anticipated victory would not be “taken away again,” alleging that the former Labour Party presidential candidate was robbed of victory during the 2023 presidential election.
The former Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State said Nigerian youths and women, who are currently facing economic hardship and hunger due to poor governance, were determined to vote and protect their votes in the next election.
Speaking with journalists during the conduct of the NDC primary elections across the 13 local government areas of the state, Nwankwo said the party was fully prepared to win public offices at all levels.
According to him, “What we are doing today is to organise primary elections to pick candidates who will contest various positions, starting from the President, Governor and Senate.”
