The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Niger State Command has recovered a vehicle linked to the Minna robbery.
According to reports, armed robbers followed a bank customer to a restaurant on Shiroro Road and stole over N10 million.
The incident happened on Friday afternoon, shortly after the victim withdrew money from a bank in the state capital.
The command’s spokesperson, DSC Abubakar M.R, confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday, saying the vehicle was found abandoned along the Three Arms Zone Bypass in Minna.
According to him, the vehicle was riddled with bullet holes, with visible traces of blood, suggesting that the suspects may have sustained injuries during the course of the incident or while attempting to escape.
“Following the unfortunate armed robbery incident that occurred at Iya Femi Restaurant, Minna on Friday, 6th March, 2026, operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Niger State Command, under Operation Flush, have made a significant discovery connected to the incident,” the statement read.
“Acting on credible intelligence and a tip-off from security personnel stationed within the Three Arms Zone, Minna, operatives of Operation Flush on Saturday, 7th March, 2026 at about 0830 hours, discovered a vehicle believed to be connected to the robbery incident.
“The vehicle was found abandoned along the Three Arms Zone Bypass in Minna.
“Preliminary observations revealed that the vehicle was riddled with bullet holes, with visible traces of blood suspected to belong to the armed robbery suspects, suggesting that the suspects may have sustained injuries during the course of the incident or while attempting to escape.
“The vehicle has since been secured while preliminary investigation is currently ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the perpetrators involved.
