Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has boldly declared himself the Nigerian music industry’s hitmaker, insisting that no other Nigerian artiste has a stronger catalogue of commercial hit songs than him.

Davido made the confident claim during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel, challenging any Nigerian artiste who believes otherwise to compare their discography with his.

Putting his money where his mouth is, the singer offered a staggering $1 million as a challenge.

He said:

“I will put $1 million cash on the table. Nobody has more hits than me.”

The declaration has since sparked reactions among music fans, with many debating which Nigerian artiste has the strongest catalogue of hit songs and whether Davido’s discography can truly claim the top spot.
