Former footballer Emmanuel Emenike has sparked a social media conversation with his take on the state of the nation.

In a post on his Instagram page this morning, Emenike stated that Nigerians are only dreaming if they believe they will have a better country in the hands of those he refers to as oppressors.

He stated that things have deteriorated to the point where there are no more road trips because kidnapping is now the norm. According to him, those who criticize the government are targeted and arrested. He claimed that Nigeria could have been as developed as the United Arab Emirates, but it cannot because a large number of “criminals” hold power.
