A Nigerian doctor based in Canada, Arinze Onwumelu, has expressed concern over what he described as the conduct of some Nigerian doctors practicing in the country.
In a video that has gained attention online, Dr. Onwumelu, popularly known as Dr. Zo, alleged that some Nigerian doctors in Canada have developed a habit of aggressively seeking patients, which he likened to the way transport operators compete for passengers at motor parks in Nigeria.
He further claimed that some Nigerian doctors in Edmonton have become involved in disputes over patients.
According to him, if such practices continue, they could negatively impact the reputation of Nigerian medical professionals and potentially affect future opportunities for Nigerian doctors hoping to relocate to Canada to practice medicine.
