Nigerian Billionaire Makes $1m Promise to Promote Son’s Album

Nigerian real estate tycoon King Ochacho has reportedly pledged to spend $1 million on the promotion of his son Ice King’s upcoming album, The Future.

The billionaire made the disclosure during a video call with popular streamer and content creator Peller, in a clip that is currently making the rounds on social media.

During the conversation, Ochacho urged Peller to provide the contacts of his social media handlers, bloggers, X influencers and other content creators, saying he was willing to pay them to promote Ice King’s music before the album officially drops.

He told Peller that the number could be as high as 1,000 influencers, promising to pay each of them a six-figure amount to share the album’s tracks and create awareness around the project.

“Send me the contacts of all your social media handlers and the Twitter influencers working for you, even if they are 1000 in number I will send them 6 digits each so they post Ice King’s new album on their page before it drops,” he said.

“I will use $1M to promote my son’s album,” he added.

Ochacho’s proposed promotional strategy would see a large network of online personalities pushing Ice King’s music across social media ahead of its release.

Ice King is a 13-year-old Nigerian artiste who has already begun making a name for himself in the entertainment industry.

The young artiste has released music, performed alongside established names and received early recognition from Nigerian superstar Davido.

With his upcoming 16-track album, The Future, Ice King appears to be entering a new phase of his young music career, backed by significant financial support from his father.

Peller also shares a close relationship with the Ochacho family.

The streamer previously received a mansion as a wedding gift from King Ochacho and has since become Ice King’s godfather.

Peller has also gifted the young artiste a car, further highlighting the relationship between the social media personality and the family.

With Ochacho now talking about committing $1 million to the album’s promotion, attention will be on how far the campaign goes once The Future is released.
