Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has attributed what she described as growing societal delinquency to poor parenting, arguing that some parents are responsible for raising individuals who later become harmful to society.
In a social media post, the actress criticised the generational cycle of d0mestic vi0lence and corporal punishment, urging the younger generation to break away from practices that encourage violence.
Etinosa Speaks on D0mestic Vi0lence and Parenting
Etinosa argued that some women in previous generations remained in marriages where they were physically abu$ed by their husbands.
According to her, remaining in such situations could unintentionally send the message to their sons that violence against women is acceptable.
She also criticised the belief among some parents that physical punishment is the most effective way to discipline children, saying such methods can expose children to vi0lent behaviour from an early age.
The actress urged the younger generation to reject these patterns and adopt healthier approaches to raising children.
She stressed the importance of breaking the cycle of d0mestic abu$e and corporal punishment so that future generations can grow up without vi0lence being normalised.
