“Many of them have been accused of corruption” – Isaac Fayose tackles APC Presidential Campaign Committee ahead of 2027 elections

Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has slammed the APC Presidential Campaign Committee, challenging some of its members’ trustworthiness ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Fayose said on his Instagram page that numerous committee members have already been accused of financial crimes by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He believes that before determining whether to support the ruling party, Nigerians should look into the committee’s members’ names and investigate the claims against them.

“When you look at APC Presidential Campaign Committee, you will find out that many of them have been accused by EFCC of financial crime. Go and check the list. Check the name one by one. Many of them have been accused by EFCC of corruption,” he said.

The younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose also questioned the participation of former Zamfara State governor Bello Matawalle, who he claimed had faced corruption charges in the past.

He claimed that instances involving political leaders may be impacted if those persons stay influential inside the ruling party.

“Don’t you think your vote will keep them in power to eat more of your money? Because if new government come now, they will change EFCC status quo. Then they can investigate them properly,” he added.

Fayose also asked Nigerians to examine the consequences of their votes, claiming that many of the country’s problems were caused by poor governance rather than a lack of resources.

His remarks come as political parties and their followers begin to plan for the 2027 general elections, with the composition of campaign structures already gaining public attention.

Fayose urged Nigerians to carefully consider political candidates and those working on their behalf before determining who to support in the election.
