Man Stabs Neighbour For Allegedly “Snoring Too Loud”

A quiet neighborhood in Upper Moreland was shattered by a tragic incident when a dispute over “loud snoring” escalated into a fatal stabbing, resulting in the death of 62-year-old Robert Wallace. The alleged assailant, 55-year-old Christopher Casey, now finds himself behind bars, facing charges related to the deadly altercation.

According to reports from The Philadelphia Inquirer, the deadly confrontation unfolded on Sunday, January 14, when Upper Moreland Police responded to a distress call from Christopher Casey. The call, placed at 6:34 p.m., reported a stabbing at Casey’s residence, sparking an immediate response from law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, Robert Wallace, approximately fifty feet from Casey’s home. Wallace, 62, had sustained multiple stab wounds and was promptly transported to Jefferson Abington Hospital. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at 7:06 p.m., marking a devastating outcome to the dispute.

Christopher Casey, who reportedly sustained a stab wound on his right thigh during the altercation, was also transported to the medical facility for treatment. Authorities on the scene uncovered a “large military-style knife,” a cell phone, and a window screen, suggesting the incident involved more than just a verbal dispute.

The Philadelphia Inquirer further reports that the altercation began when Wallace attempted to remove a window screen from Casey’s home.
