A Nigerian man has told a terrifying story of spending nearly thirty years in prison after being falsely connected to a friend’s death.
He claims that officials accused him of being involved in the death of a man he shared a room with, which led to his arrest and incarceration at the age of 19.
He spent 29 years, eight months, and three days behind bars despite insisting on his innocence.
He clarified that the only reason he was involved in the case was because he was in the same room as the deceased, which ultimately resulted in his conviction and lengthy incarceration.
