A resident of Nembe has made an urgent appeal to authorities over the deteriorating condition of a major road in Bayelsa State, warning that the deep potholes along the route pose a serious danger to motorists and pedestrians.
In a video shared online, the man lamented that the road, which is heavily used by school children and elderly residents, has become a major safety risk due to its poor condition.
He warned that unless urgent repairs are carried out, the road could lead to a tragic accident or loss of lives.
The resident also revealed that a contractor had previously been assigned to handle the road project, calling on authorities to hold the company accountable and compel them to return to the site to immediately fix the damaged sections.
