Wednesday, May 22, a pervert who was suspected of repeatedly raping a 12-year-old child inside a Bronx, New York building in late 2023 was apprehended on a warrant.
About 12 hours after the NYPD declared that Thomas Barnaby, 30, was wanted for raping the preteen “on several occasions” between December 19 and December 23, 2023, he was taken into custody. Barnaby has six open arrests.
In relation to the unsettling string of offences, Barnaby was charged with first-, second-, and third-degree rape, predatory sex assault against a minor, first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, acting in a way that would harm a minor, and second- and third-degree sexual abuse.
The assaults took place inside a residential building at East 165th Street and River Avenue in the Concourse neighbourhood, police said.
Before now, Barnaby’s most serious arrest was for a 2016 robbery and he also was booked for theft of service, law enforcement sources said.
