Anita Baaki, a colleague and close friend of the late Mary Habila, has shared a video showing the 26-year-old nurse dismissing false rumours of her death just three days before she d!ed at the country home of the Minister of Works, David Umahi.
Mary Habila died on June 27, 2026, and her body was found inside a room in one of the buildings within the minister’s residence in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
According to Anita, a physiotherapist from Benue State, false reports claiming that Mary had died began circulating online on June 24, 2026.
She explained that the following day, June 25, Mary recorded a video to debunk the rumours and reassure everyone that she was alive and in good health.
The video, which Anita shared on Facebook on July 20, has since drawn widespread attention online, with many describing the timing as heartbreaking in light of Mary’s d3ath just days later.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Mary Habila’s d3ath, while public interest in the case continues to grow.
