A woman’s anger over a Valentine’s Day incident involving her brother and his girlfriend has generated intense discussion on social media.
The woman claims that her brother told the family members to leave the house for a while since his girlfriend was coming over for Valentine’s Day and he wanted her to feel “comfortable.”
She apparently thought it was improper to ask family members to leave their own house in order to make room for a romantic visit, thus she did not approve of the request.
The woman, who expressed her unhappiness online, questioned respect and boundaries in the family context, stating that although romance and love are significant, they shouldn’t come at the expense of fundamental care for other members of the household.
Given that the residence is a common family area, she called the situation unjust and unpleasant.
