Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got back together in Miami yesterday to honor Virgil Abloh’s ‘life and legacy’ by attending a presentation of the late fashion designer’s final Louis Vuitton collection.
The couple sat first row with their eight-year-old daughter North as they watched the runway presentation.
After separating in February after nearly seven years of marriage, the pair was later photographed posing together.
After a secret fight with a rare form of cancer, Abloh unfortunately died on Nov. 28 at the age of 41. From 2018 until his death, he was the men’s artistic director at Louis Vuitton.
The tribute show, titled VIRGIL WAS HERE, began at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time and featured Virgil’s Spring-Summer 2022 runway collection.
Kanye and Kim’s public appearance comes after the rapper promised to mend his connection with the reality star despite her new relationship with Pete Davidson.
Last month, while visiting the Los Angeles Mission’s Annual Thanksgiving celebration in Skid Row, the 44-year-old rapper opened out about his marriage to Kim Kardashian. Kanye stated his wish for him and Kim to reunite throughout his statement, as well as his need to “go back home.”
“The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships. We’ve made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband,” he says in a video shared by PageSix.
“But right now today, for whatever reason, I didn’t know I was going to be standing right here. I didn’t know I was gonna be in front of this mic, but I’m here to change the narrative.”
Kanye then continued by expressing that he wasn’t going to let E!, Hulu and Disney, networks that work with the Kardashians on their reality shows, “write the narrative of his family. I am the priest of my own home.”
“I have to be next to my children as much as possible. So, when I’m out the house, I’ve got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation, But I need to be back home.” he said
“If the enemy can separate Kimye, there’s going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is OK… but when God brings Kimye together, there’s going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced to see that they can overcome the work of the separation,” he continued. “Of trauma the devil has used to capitalize to keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store.”
Kanye and Kim also share three children together, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star filed for divorce from the rapper in February, after seven years of marriage.
