In preparation for his planned transfer from Atalanta to Atletico Madrid, Ademola Lookman has departed Italy to undertake medical testing.
The Nigerian international was seen at Bergamo Airport getting ready to take off for the Spanish city after missing Atalanta’s Serie A match against Como on Sunday.
Lookman was able to finalise the transfer after Atalanta finalised an agreement with Atlético Madrid earlier on Sunday.
Atalanta’s chosen terms are met by the Spanish team, and the deal is worth €40 million, including add-ons. Before completing the deal, Lookman is anticipated to go through medical exams in Madrid.
After the paperwork are finished, the forward will join Atlético Madrid, barring any last-minute problems.
