Nigerian woman Lister Mathew Osas has shared an emotional update after her mother’s three children, who went missing more than 30 years ago, were finally found and reunited with their family.
In a video shared online on Sunday morning, Lister revealed that her missing siblings had been located and had successfully reconnected with their mother, bringing an end to decades of uncertainty and heartbreak.
Just two days earlier, Lister had appealed to the public for help in locating her mother’s children, who were allegedly taken away by their Cameroonian father in Kaduna over three decades ago.
At the time, she explained that her mother, a native of Cross River State, had never given up hope of seeing her children again and had remained in Kaduna for years, believing they would one day return.
Sharing the joyful update, Lister said she spent several hours speaking with her newly found siblings and described the experience as overwhelming.
She said:
“I was able to connect with them yesterday; I was on a call for two to three hours. The best thing is that it didn’t feel like I was talking to strangers. It feels like we were searching for each other. For the longest time, I have been an only child. Knowing that I have sisters and a brother, it feels like I am in a trance. I like this. My mum has 11 grandchildren.
God is so faithful, guys! God has answered our prayers.”
The heartwarming reunion has since sparked emotional reactions online, with many Nigerians celebrating the family’s long-awaited reunion and expressing gratitude that the decades-long search ended in joy.
