Chioma, a media personality, provoked outrage online when she said she would never stay in a marriage if her spouse lost his job soon after their wedding.
Chioma expressed her opinion in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, under the handle @xxterberry.
She made it obvious that she would rather dissolve the marriage than stay with a husband who had suddenly become unemployed.
‘I’m filing for divorce ASAP.’
According to Chioma, losing a job soon after being married would cause her to question the marriage.
“We got married and you lost your job the very next week? I’m filing for divorce ASAP. I’m not suffering with you. I didn’t sign up for struggle,” she wrote.
Her statement implies that she expects a possible husband to be financially secure before entering into marriage.
Chioma went on to clarify that she was not interested in marrying a man based on what he might become in the future.
“I’m not marrying potential. I’m marrying a man who already has his life in order,” she stated.
Her words triggered reactions online, with social media users expressing their opinions on her viewpoint.
