James Brown, a well-known social media celebrity, has caused controversy online after footage of him attending a church service for deliverance appeared. It is said that he made the decision to change his previous way of life.
In the viral clips, James Brown was seen participating in church activities, eliciting conflicting reactions from social media users who expressed astonishment, criticism and cautious support over his decision.
According to him, “Since I resumed this year, my spirit has been speaking loudly through my dreams. And it reminded me of something very real: being known, being visible, being famous is not just physical it is spiritual. The whole world sees you. Lovers see you. Enemies see you. Your image travels places you don’t even know. You don’t know where your pictures have been taken to or used for.”
He said he told himself that “this is the time. This is the right time to return fully to church, to cover myself spiritually.”
While some hailed the move as a great step towards personal improvement, others questioned the manner of the deliverance and condemned the religious environment.

@adejare_ste said: “It’s good that James Brown has decided to return to church and seek deliverance, but turning yourself into a female for clout and money is not something to applaud. Repentance is good, but that lifestyle misled many young people.”
@Tundex644 added: “Na this kind shepherd dey make people dey talk bad about Celestial. Once it’s time to put past their miserable past life, they know their way to CCC.”
The development has continued to ignite conversations about repentance, religion, clout culture and personal transformation among Nigerian celebrities
