“I’ve saved ₦100k in a few days” — Lady reveals man she met last week sends her money daily despite rejecting him

A Nigerian woman has sparked reactions online after revealing that a man she met just last week has been sending her money daily despite her making it clear that she is not interested in a romantic relationship with him.

The lady explained that the man appears convinced that money can win over any woman and has continued making financial transfers in an attempt to get her attention.

According to her account, the man obtained her OPay account details using her WhatsApp number and subsequently began sending her money without any indication that she had accepted his romantic advances.

Man allegedly increases daily transfers to ₦20,000

The woman claimed that the man regularly sends her ₦15,000 daily but increased the amount to ₦20,000 on a day she refused to answer his calls.

She suggested that the increased transfer was an attempt to persuade her to pick up his calls and give him the attention he wanted.

The lady also disclosed that the man affectionately calls her “mma” whenever he wants to get her attention.

Despite her stated lack of romantic interest, she said he had continued sending money.

Lady reveals how much she has saved

According to the woman, the repeated transfers have already helped her accumulate ₦100,000 within a few days.

Rather than returning the money or reconsidering her position on the relationship, she said she intended to continue saving for as long as the man kept sending it.

She wrote:

“I’ve saved ₦100k in a few days. Let me keep saving until he gets tired,”

Her account suggests that she does not believe the financial gifts will change her position on entering a relationship with the man.

‘Some men don’t hear “I’m not interested”’

The woman also shared her thoughts on men who continue pursuing women after being rejected, suggesting that some struggle to accept when their romantic advances are unwanted.

She wrote:

“Some men doesn’t hear ‘I’m not interested’”

She then added:

“I like simp men, abeg”.

Her post has sparked conversations online about romantic pursuit, financial gifts and personal boundaries in modern dating.

While some may view the transfers as an attempt to win her affection, the situation also raises questions about whether financial gifts should continue when the recipient has already made her lack of romantic interest clear.
