Popular skit maker Nasboi has responded to allegations made by fellow content creator Baba Orobo, defending his character and insisting that the claims do not reflect who he is.

The response comes after Baba Orobo accused Nasboi of telling him he had “no value” after he requested transportation support.

In a statement shared on social media, Nasboi said he has spent the last six years building a reputation for helping both colleagues and strangers, arguing that it was unfair for his entire character to be judged based on the complaint of one individual despite having worked with hundreds of people.

According to him, Baba Orobo featured in about five of his productions and was paid for every appearance. He also claimed he secured a one-night performance opportunity for him at an AY show, where he reportedly earned ₦200,000.

Nasboi, however, alleged that Baba Orobo repeatedly sought additional assistance beyond their working relationship, including requests for hotel accommodation and financial support to purchase a car, which he described as a sense of entitlement.

The skit maker added that while some people in the entertainment industry appreciate opportunities and agreed payments, others expect continuous financial assistance beyond what was initially agreed.

He maintained that everyone who works with his team is paid accordingly and disclosed that he now leaves casting decisions and payments to his production manager to ensure professionalism.

Nasboi concluded by saying he remains committed to protecting the reputation he has built over the years while continuing to move forward with his career.
