A 21-year-old woman has taken to social media to seek help after allegedly suffering emotional and physical abuse in her marriage to a man who is 20 years older than her.
The young lady, whose identity was not disclosed, shared her heartbreaking experience while appealing for support from people who could help her leave the situation.
According to her account, she got married last year to the older man, but the marriage has reportedly turned into a painful experience due to what she described as constant emotional and physical abuse.
“I’m 21 years old. I got married last year to a man who is 20 years older than me. He has been abusing me emotionally and physically. Please, I need help. I want to leave but I don’t have anywhere to go,” she reportedly said.
Her plea has sparked concern among social media users, with many urging her to prioritize her safety and seek support from trusted family members, friends, or relevant organisations that assist survivors of domestic abuse.
