“If You’re Unattractive and Have a Man, He’s Using You” — Woman Sparks Debate

A woman has sparked a heated debate online after claiming that men do not compromise when it comes to physical beauty and that men who date women they consider unattractive are likely doing so for personal gain.

Achieng Njoroge shared the controversial opinion on Facebook, arguing that men are naturally attracted to physical features such as beauty, body shape and a bright smile.

She wrote:

“If you are a woman and you don’t consider yourself attractive, but you have a man, just know that he is with you mostly for his own gains.”

According to her, men would only overlook physical appearance if they were benefiting from the relationship in another way.

She added:

“Men do not compromise on the things they like unless they are benefiting from it.”

Achieng further warned women who do not consider themselves conventionally attractive that they should be cautious about their relationships.

“So, if you are not conventionally beautiful and that man is with you, know that bad things are ahead. He is using you for something he considers more important than your skin colour, small nyash, and bushy brows. Tears are ahead.”

Her comments generated mixed reactions, with some social media users disagreeing with her view and arguing that attraction goes beyond physical appearance.

Responding to critics, Achieng maintained her position, telling one commenter:

“Look at you now defending men thinking that they like you.”

Her remarks have continued to fuel discussions online about physical attraction, relationships, self-esteem and whether people can genuinely love partners who do not fit conventional beauty standards.
