"If they see all my watches, they’d just faint" - Pastor Ibiyeomie brags about massive collection amid backlash

Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has responded to criticism over social media clips of his luxury watches.

During a church service, he explained that the videos circulating do not represent the entirety of his collection.

$2 Million Watch Gift

Pastor Ibiyeomie shared with his congregation that a supporter gifted him a $2 million watch.

“Someone gave me a watch worth $2 million. I have not even worn half of my watches. The one they show on social media is just small, I have many watches. If they see all my watches, they’d just faint. I’m getting watches because I’m solving problems,” he said.

Gifts, Not Purchases

He added that he does not buy the watches himself.

“A young man came to me and said God instructed him to give his pastor. He told me God told him to give them to me. So I have a lot; the ones posted online are even small,” Pastor Ibiyeomie added.

Social Media Debates

The pastor’s reaction coincides with online discussions about religious leaders’ displays of wealth.

Pastor Ibiyeomie emphasized that the watches are gifts, received as part of his work to help others, rather than personal purchases.
