Prophetess Sommy has responded to the criticism she says she has faced from fellow Christians over the past week, questioning the spiritual standing of those who have been speaking against her.
The cleric addressed the issue during a church programme, expressing disappointment that much of the backlash has reportedly come from people who identify as Christians rather than traditional worshippers or native doctors.
According to Prophetess Sommy, the individuals criticising her are people who attend church and openly identify with the Christian faith.
“The way they dragged me this last week that passed, I asked myself, out of all these people that dragged me, how many are going to heaven? Because Ezewanyi did not drag me, native doctors did not drag me, it is Christians, people that come to church and carry Bible,” she said.
She further questioned why Christians would direct criticism at preachers who promote holiness and righteousness, arguing that people should instead reflect on the reality of hell-fire.
The prophetess said she wished God would give her the opportunity to organise a general movie screening that would enable people to understand what hell-fire looks like.
“I wish that God will just tell me one day, woman of God, do a general movie day so that people will see what hell-fire looks like and stop attacking preachers of holiness and righteousness,” she added.
Prophetess Sommy’s remarks come amid the criticism she says she has received in recent days as she continues to stand by her views and teachings.
Her comments have sparked further reactions, particularly over her question about how many of the Christians criticising her would ultimately make it to heaven.
