“I will do DNA test before accepting any child” — Mayorkun reveals plan for future children

Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, also known as Mayorkun, has stated that he intends to conduct a DNA test before accepting any child born to his future wife as his own.

The ‘Body Cheche’ singer revealed the information on a recent episode of the In My Opinion podcast, where he also discussed his plans to sign a prenuptial agreement before marriage.

Mayorkun stated that he had already informed his girlfriend of the proposed arrangements, but she expressed dissatisfaction with his decision.

Mayorkun claims his girlfriend was upset.
The singer stated that he informed his girlfriend that a prenuptial agreement and a DNA test would be part of his plans for marriage and children.

Mayorkun said, “I told my girlfriend we’d have to do a prenup and DNA test when she gives me a child, just to be sure. She got upset.”

He clarified that before accepting parental responsibility, he wanted the DNA test to confirm paternity.

Singer discusses what he would do in the event of a negative test.
Mayorkun also revealed that he had thought about administering the test without telling his partner.

“I have thought of doing the DNA test without telling her. If it is my child, no issues. If not, everybody will hear about it,” he said.

His remarks have contributed to the ongoing public discussions in Nigeria concerning marriage contracts, paternity testing, and couple trust.

Even though Nigerian couples and families are talking more and more about DNA testing, Mayorkun’s comments still reflect his personal views on marriage and fatherhood.
