Salt, the sister of Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr, has opened up about her views on dating a man who earns less money than she does.

Speaking during a recent podcast, Salt admitted that she believes she would likely have control over a man if she were financially wealthier than him.

She explained that she is self-aware enough to recognise how she might behave in such a relationship, while stressing that everyone has their personal preferences when it comes to relationships.

“If I date a man who I am richer than, I will definitely control him. I know myself, I’m very self-aware, I will control you. Everybody has their preference.

Even though if I’m richer than him, he will still be providing, and I wouldn’t let him know I have a lot of money. He will be fine,” she said.

Her comments have sparked conversations online about financial dynamics in relationships, the expectations placed on men to provide and whether income differences can influence power and control between partners.
