Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has cleared the air about an emotional moment involving her colleague, Mercy Johnson.

Speaking in an interview on Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast hosted by Isbae U, the veteran actress explained that her tears were not from a broken heart.

She said the crying happened because she was very happy.

The joy came from a surprise act of kindness from Mercy Johnson, who she called her daughter in the movie industry.

According to Ozokwor, Mercy Johnson invited her to come and shoot a film. After the work was done, Mercy did more than just pay her acting fee.

She also gave the veteran actress money, food items, and clothes, including wrappers. This unexpected gift touched Ozokwor deeply.

She explained that when someone gives you something you did not see coming, it can break your heart in a good way.

The actress made it clear that she was not suffering or in need of pity. Instead, she was simply overwhelmed by Mercy Johnson’s generous spirit.

Her words: “You know when somebody give you something you didn’t expect. My daughter in the industry invites me to shoot ofr her, pays me, gave me food and clothes and wrappers. It was tears of joy.”
