“I was unjustly disqualified” — BBNaija’s Nomsy says Big Brother experience left her traumatised

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Nomsy has opened up about her experience on the reality show, revealing that her time in the house left her traumatised following her controversial disqualification.

Speaking during an interview on the WithChude podcast, the reality star also addressed her familiarity with social media personalities GehGeh and Peller, insisting that she had never heard of either of them before participating in the show.

‘I was unjustly disqualified’

Nomsy maintained that she believes her removal from the reality show was unfair, arguing that contestants are typically expected to receive three strikes before facing disqualification.

According to her, she had received only one strike before she was removed from the house.

She said:

“I don’t know who GehGeh or Peller are, never heard of them before. My experiences in the Big Brother house traumatised me. I was unjustly disqualified. Normally, what makes people leave the house is disqualification, and to get that you need three strikes. I was on one.

I was in the enemy territory, and even though I’m the villain of this season, I’m still the main character.”

‘First time a housemate was revoked’

Nomsy further described her exit as unusual, claiming that her case was unprecedented in the history of the reality show.

She alleged that hers was the first time a Big Brother Naija housemate had been “revoked”, adding to her concerns about the circumstances surrounding her departure from the programme.

Her comments come as she reflects on her controversial exit and the experience she had while competing in the Big Brother Naija house.

Nomsy’s remarks have since generated discussion among reality TV fans, particularly around her claims of unfair treatment, the show’s disciplinary process and the circumstances that led to her disqualification.
