“I started calling my pastor…” – Man recounts scary hotel experience with stranded lady in Ibadan

A Nigerian man has described a spectacular incident that occurred while travelling from Osun State to Lagos after his vehicle reportedly broke down in Ibadan late at night.

According to him, he opted to remain in a nearby hotel due to the country’s instability, and a stranded female traveller requested to accompany him since she was afraid of being alone.

Sharing the experience on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:

“Last night, while travelling back to Lagos from Osun, our car broke down in Ibadan around 9 p.m. A girl who was sitting beside me begged me to take her along because she was also scared of staying there alone.”Geographic Reference

The man claimed that he was originally hesitant, but after much coaxing, he agreed to lie on the floor while the lady slept in the bed.

He also said that panic set in the next morning as he tried unsuccessfully to wake the lady up, leading him to dread the worst before she awoke hours later.

“I tapped her again and again, but there was no response. That was when I realized I was finished. I started calling my pastor for prayers because I knew I was in trouble.

“After two hours, she woke up and said she had been in a family prayer session in the spirit,” he added.
