“I Prayed for a Car Without an Engine, and It Moved to a Mechanic” — Nigerian Pastor Claims

Nigerian cleric Prophet Onu Emeka has sparked reactions online after claiming that he once prayed for a car without an engine and the vehicle subsequently moved to a mechanic.

The pastor made the claim in a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), where he spoke about the power of prayer and what he described as a demonstration of God’s supernatural power.

According to Onu, the car had no engine but was still able to move after he prayed for it.

During his speech, the cleric challenged anyone who doubted his account to provide a car so that its engine could be removed and his claim tested.

He said:

“Una no know me oo. I have prayed for a car, a car without engine. Without engine, and the car move to mechanic. Without engine. No engine in the car.

“If you think I’m lying now, let me use one of your car, anybody that brings car as an example. Let them remove the engine and see if that the car will not move.”

The pastor maintained that his experience demonstrated the power of God, using the alleged incident to emphasise his message about faith and prayer.

Onu also argued that some people become Christians after witnessing what they consider demonstrations of God’s power.

He questioned whether simply telling people that Jesus died for them would be enough to convince them to believe, suggesting that personal experiences and perceived miracles could influence their faith.

His comments have since drawn attention on social media, with the claim about the engine-less car becoming the main focus of the discussion.

However, the account remains the pastor’s claim, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident have not been independently verified.
