Nigerian comedian and actor Mr Macaroni has expressed appreciation to individuals who stood by him financially and emotionally during what he described as some of the most challenging periods of his life.
The entertainer shared his thoughts in a Facebook post after receiving numerous messages from people who reminded him of the positive impact he had made in their lives over the years.
According to Mr Macaroni, reading the messages left him emotional and prompted him to reflect on his journey. He said the experience made him realise that he had spent too much time dwelling on his struggles instead of appreciating the fact that he had overcome difficult circumstances.
‘Giving Back Has Always Been Important to Me’
Mr Macaroni explained that he has always viewed his success and resources as something that should also benefit other people.
He said helping others had become an important part of his life, noting that he was generally more comfortable giving than asking for assistance.
The comedian added that even when he borrowed money from people, he made a habit of repaying his debts, sometimes adding interest without being asked to do so.
However, he acknowledged that the situation changed significantly in recent years, when he found himself facing financial difficulties and having to seek assistance from others.
The experience, he said, gave him a different perspective on generosity, friendship and the importance of having people who are willing to stand by you during difficult periods.
Grateful to Individual Who Helped Settle His Debts
The actor also revealed that an unnamed individual repeatedly came to his aid by helping him clear some of his financial obligations.
According to Mr Macaroni, the person preferred to remain anonymous, but the support provided was significant enough to restore his hope at a time when he felt overwhelmed by his circumstances.
He described the person’s repeated intervention as extraordinary and expressed deep appreciation for the assistance.
Appreciates Don Jazzy, Osimhen and Others
Mr Macaroni also acknowledged the support he received from friends, colleagues and associates, including members of Mr Macaroni & Friends.
He specifically expressed gratitude to music executive Don Jazzy, whom he said had supported him since his university days and continued to show him kindness over the years.
The comedian also mentioned footballer Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji among those who had supported him during difficult periods.
He described their contributions as meaningful and said he was grateful not only for what they had done for him personally but also for the positive impact they have had on others.
‘I Am in a Better Place’
Reflecting on the challenges he had experienced, Mr Macaroni said he now considers himself to be in a better place.
He explained that he has become more intentional about learning, enjoying life and engaging in activities that bring him happiness.
Despite the difficulties that came from helping other people, he maintained that he had no regrets about being generous.
Rather, he said his experiences had taught him valuable lessons and helped him gain a clearer understanding of life, relationships and gratitude.
Mr Macaroni ended his message by encouraging people to continue choosing love and kindness despite the challenges and negativity in society.
