“Husband easy to find, girls of today are just being too picky” – Nigerian lady says

A Nigerian woman has resorted to social media to offer advice to single women on how to find a spouse, citing their rising unhappiness with the challenge of finding real, marriage-ready guys.

The post, uploaded on X (previously Twitter) by @Janefrances_Al, rapidly went viral, eliciting considerable internet outrage.

In her viral post, the lady argued that “husband is very easy to get,” adding that males are easy to find, but women of her generation complicate matters by being overly selective.

She recommended women to pursue a successful profession while carrying out traditional marital roles such as providing for and caring for their husband.

She also promoted tolerance for certain behaviours, even when a husband expresses interest in other women, advising that conflict should be avoided.

The social media user emphasised the importance of financial stability and encouraged women to pursue a successful profession.

She proposed that independence not only promotes confidence, but also allows women to make better decisions when choosing a spouse. According to her, many women nowadays have higher expectations than their mums and aunts did.

She contended that embracing conventional traditions of wifehood, demonstrating dedication, and making sacrifices could boost the odds of finding a marriage-ready husband.

Read her words below:

“Husband is very easy to get, it is the girls of this days who are being picky!!!

If not, it’s very easy to get a husband. All you need do is have a thriving career, then choose from the crowd in Nigeria a man to house him, feed him, take care of him, and perform all your duties as a wife.

It doesn’t end there. When he starts wandering, or his eyes start lingering, you either befriend all the women in a calm manner, don’t complain, don’t argue, or better yet, you turn a blind eye when a man whom you are housing, clothing, and providing for is reciprocating your kind deeds with lust.

So like I said, men are very easy to get. It is just this generation of women who dare think that they deserve better than what their mothers and aunts endured with grace.”
