A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after speaking out about her financial difficulties, wondering how men manage to pay their bills and still give money to their girlfriends.
In a video making the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), she lamented that her salary was not enough to cover her house rent, electricity, food and cooking gas.
She also mentioned that her siblings often ask her for financial support, which adds to her burden. She added that she could no longer afford to do her hair.
“Please, men, how do you do it? I want to pay my rent, light bill, and I have to stock up the house with food. I will also fill my gas. This is my loose hair; no money to make it. My siblings are also on my neck asking for money, and my salary is not even up to anything,” she lamented.
The woman questioned how men cope with similar responsibilities while still supporting their girlfriends and keeping up their appearance.
She added that the financial strain had taken a toll on her happiness, saying she had not smiled in the last six months.
“Imagine, I am now a man, and I have a girlfriend too. Please, men, how do you do it? You people will give your girlfriends money and still look good. I just need one guy to explain it to me. I am tired. Billings want to kill me,” she added.
Her remarks have highlighted the financial strain of juggling personal bills, family obligations and expectations in relationships.
