Michael K. Williams, actor of The Wire, was discovered dead in his opulent Brooklyn home after a suspected heroin overdose.

A law enforcement source told The New York Post that his nephew discovered the 54-year-old unconscious and face-down in the living room of his Williamsburg residence on Monday afternoon.

Following that, a doorman called 911, stating Williams was ‘unresponsive’ and ‘cold.’ Medics arrived quickly, but the actor was pronounced dead at 2:12 p.m.

Williams’ nephew traveled around the apartment complex to check on the actor, who had been missing for several days, according to reports.

Heroin was allegedly discovered on the star’s kitchen table, as well as drug paraphernalia elsewhere in the flat.

‘There is no evidence of foul play,’ a police source told The Washington Post. There was no forced entrance, and everything was in order in the flat.’

Staci DuPont, the wife of the nephew who discovered Williams’ body, told DailyMail.com that she did not believe the death was caused by drugs.

‘That isn’t correct. ‘At this moment, we don’t have anything else to say,’ she remarked.
