A Nigerian woman has sparked amusement online after recounting how her decision to accommodate her friend’s twin children turned into a stressful experience, with their frequent quarrels testing her patience.
According to the woman, the twins could go from getting along to fighting over seemingly trivial matters, even when they had other options available. Their repeated disagreements reportedly made hosting them far more challenging than she had anticipated.
Twins turn reconciliation into another fight
Recounting their latest altercation, the woman explained that she had to intervene when another disagreement between the siblings escalated into a physical fight.
She separated the children and took them to the parlour, hoping to resolve the issue peacefully. After cleaning their tears, she asked both children to apologise to each other.
The twins eventually apologised, and she instructed them to hug as a sign of reconciliation, believing the gesture would help restore peace.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn when one of the children reportedly bit his brother on the shoulder while they were hugging.
The bite caused the other twin to burst into tears, leaving the woman frustrated after her attempt to settle the dispute appeared to create another problem.
Woman declares the twins’ holiday over
Overwhelmed by the children’s behaviour, the woman expressed her frustration and announced that she had reached the limit of her patience.
Recounting her reaction, she said:
“Oya, both of you, holiday is over. Go back to your parents! I have tried my best.”
Her experience offered a humorous glimpse into the challenges of caring for young children, especially siblings whose disagreements can escalate within moments.
Although she had initially agreed to host the twins, their latest fight appeared to leave her reconsidering the arrangement, as she felt she had done all she could to keep the peace.
The account highlights how a simple act of helping a friend can become unexpectedly demanding when young children are involved.
