Nigerian entertainer Mcee Slimjoe has criticised singer Speed Darlington, accusing him of failing to appreciate people who have supported him.
Slimjoe’s comments came hours after Speed Darlington’s former manager, Goskey, reportedly announced his departure from the role, alleging that the singer owed him three years’ salary and had subjected him to mistreatment.
Goskey also claimed that Speed Darlington paid him only ₦200,000 out of the millions the rapper allegedly received from his boxing match against fellow entertainer Carter Efe.
Slimjoe recounts travelling for Speed Darlington’s show
Sharing his own experience, Slimjoe recalled travelling from Abia State to Lagos in 2025 to attend a show organised by Speed Darlington.
According to him, despite making the journey to support the singer, he received only ₦50,000 from the entertainer.
Expressing his displeasure, Slimjoe said:
“Speed Darlington is a wncked person. He’s not the type of person people should associate with. I once travelled from Abia to Lagos for his show in 2025, only for him to give me ₦50,000,” Slimjoe said.
The entertainer also alleged that he had supported Speed Darlington on several occasions but felt that his efforts were not adequately recognised or appreciated.
Criticism follows fallout with former manager
Slimjoe’s remarks have added to the controversy surrounding Speed Darlington following Goskey’s public allegations about their professional relationship.
While Goskey’s claims centre on alleged unpaid salaries and mistreatment, Slimjoe’s criticism focuses on what he described as the singer’s failure to appreciate people who have stood by him.
